For your child’s body and mind, functioning efficiently requires that the building blocks, the neurodevelopmental systems, all work well and don’t interfere with one another. However, these systems may not always operate efficiently, and they don’t always get better just by growing up.
Perhaps her eyes or ears don’t process information with ease, or she’s a little (or more than a little) clumsy. It’s true that many have managed to do well despite their limitations, but so many more choices become available if you identify those areas that need support and get them organised.
