Shashwat Agarwal
Born and raised in Hyderabad, India, Shashwat was given a Waldorf upbringing at home and at school. A jack of all trades, he is multi-talented and has enjoyed visual art, photography, film-making, cooking, tabla, drums, and plays cricket, badminton, trekking, and scuba-diving.
After attending Waldorf grade school he went on to a boarding high school where he experienced a sharp contrast in educational approaches and resolved early on to bring change to the education systems of the world.
He took a gap year after high school to build a platform that helped students volunteer online and support the underprivileged while learning in the process. Although this project did not take full fruition, he took part in DEEP (Diploma in Experiential Education & Practices) which changed his life, giving him answers concerning how to improve the educational process. As a result, he became even more passionate about bringing change in the way we learn and to grow and found an interest in expanding consciousness and pushing beyond the status quo.
Shashwat is enrolled at Babson College, Boston, USA, a leading college for entrepreneurial studies. He is a passionate facilitator with interests in philosophy, psychology, organizational behavior, business strategy, and technology. He became a mentor for high school students for Babson Summer School and was a student worker at the Weissman Foundry, a transdisciplinary maker-space+ for Babson, Olin, and Wellesley Colleges. Furthermore, he founded two communities at Babson – The Art of Cooking, and Curious Minds – to bring passionate people together.
Shashwat is now on a journey, not only to start Nurturer’Studio with his mother but also to create a podcast and community committed to finding the deep truths of life. After college, he plans on becoming a corporate consultant in the fields of organizational behavior, business strategy, and education. In the long-run, he aspires to use his knowledge in business and facilitation to create a new decentralized education system that enables lifelong experiential learning, self discovery, holistic growth, well being, and an ever improving society.
